Great little adventure/fantasy story for late Primary ages upwards. Fires young imaginations and promotes themes of friendship and teamwork, as Eddie and his friends find themselves in another world with a series of challenges to face and overcome.

Crocodile Keith!

5* Review on Amazon

Take the time to read these rhymes.

A heartwarming story. Beautifully illustrated.

'There once was a ginormous crocodile with extremely large white teeth.

Everyone was terrified of him; by the way his name was Keith.'

And so the story begins with first an elephant, and then a tiger, trying to find out how Keith keeps his teeth so shiny and white!

An educational, rhyming picture book for young children.

Available from Amazon as a paperback and as a Kindle Edition.

5* Review on Amazon

This book made me laugh out loud, made my heart swell, grow goosebumps and made me weep a little. So much emotion to be shared on a lovely journey through both poets lives. Highly recommended, a book of poems that truly reflects both the sublime and the ridiculous in this crazy life, written with wit, love and beautiful imagery.

From Len to Lil

With Love and a Lick.

From 1939 until 1944 Basil Leonard Doyle, known as Len, wrote to his sweetheart, Lilian Smith, from the East End of London to the West. It is assumed Lil wrote back, but, alas, those letters are no more.

As The Blitz raged over their heads, the two young lovers continued to work and make plans to meet, ‘Hitler permitting’.

With over seventy letters and postcards, we follow Len and Lil from their first meeting in early 1939 until their marriage in September 1944.

One final letter was written in May 1949 immediately after the birth of Len and Lil’s son (and my father-in-law), Mike.

These letters were found by Mike inside a Terry's chocolate box   which had been delivered with the note:                                        ‘From Len to Lil With Love and a Lick’.

A non-fiction book of Letters across London during The Blitz.

Available from Amazon. Also available from all good booksellers!

As a classical guitar teacher I have written several pieces of music for the guitar. I have also written other random pieces of music! Apart from the samples below, I also wrote the song and the scene change/incidental music for my play, The Village Hall and the short song in my play, The Poolside. If you wish to hear the pieces of music from The Village Hall, please search for it on YouTube!

Performance Licences:

Applications for permission to perform any of my plays should be made in advance, before rehearsals begin, direct to me at the above email address.

Any public performance of my plays must have a Performance Licence.

A performance will be considered as a public performance if your audience contains any external visitors to your group, including family members and friends. An application for a Performance Licence must be made whether an admission charge for the play is going to be made or not.

Ashley Burgoyne's playscripts, which are sold as published books, generate royalties for the playwright alongside performance licence fees from those wishing to produce his plays. Most drama groups purchase the appropriate amount of scripts/books in order to produce the play. If a drama group wishes to photocopy the play either because they prefer an A4 format, or because they wish to save money, then permission must be sought from Ashley Burgoyne and a fee paid to offset loss of earnings from book royalties.
